Creating an account is simple:

  • Download Wrestling Studio Pro from the App Store or Google Play
  • Open the app and tap "Sign Up"
  • Enter your email address and create a password
  • Verify your email by clicking the link we send you
  • Complete your profile by adding your name and role (coach, athlete, or parent)

You can also sign up using your Google or Apple account for faster registration.

How do I record my first match?

Recording your first match takes just a few steps:

  • Tap the Record tab in the navigation
  • Enter the wrestler names for Home and Away
  • Select the wrestling style (Folkstyle, Freestyle, or Greco-Roman)
  • Choose the weight class
  • Tap Start Recording
  • Use the scoring buttons to track points as the match progresses
  • When the match ends, tap Stop Recording

Your video will be saved with the scoreboard overlay automatically applied!

What wrestling styles are supported?

Wrestling Studio Pro supports all major wrestling styles:

  • Folkstyle - Used in American scholastic and collegiate wrestling
  • Freestyle - Olympic style with emphasis on leg attacks
  • Greco-Roman - Olympic style focusing on upper body throws

Each style has its own scoring rules configured automatically. You can also create custom rule sets for special tournaments or practice sessions.

Recording & Scoring

How do I add points during a match?

The scoring controls appear on screen during recording:

  • Each wrestler has their own set of scoring buttons
  • Tap the point value (1, 2, 3, or 4) to add points
  • Use the Undo button if you make a mistake
  • Points update in real-time on the scoreboard overlay

Pro tip: Enable quick-scoring mode in Settings for faster point entry during fast-paced matches.

Can I edit scores after recording?

Yes! You can edit match details after recording:

  • Go to the match in your Events or Home tab
  • Tap on the match to open the details view
  • Tap Edit Match Info
  • Update wrestler names, scores, or other details
  • Save your changes

Note: The video overlay reflects the scoring as it happened during recording. Editing scores updates the match record but not the recorded video.

How do I download or share a match video?

Sharing and downloading is easy:

  • Open the match you want to share
  • Tap the Share button
  • Choose to save to your Camera Roll, share via message, or post to social media
  • The video exports with the scoreboard overlay permanently embedded

Troubleshooting

The app crashed during recording

If the app crashes during recording:

  • Reopen the app - we auto-save every 30 seconds
  • Check Events for any recovered footage
  • Make sure you have enough storage space on your device
  • Close other apps to free up memory
  • Update to the latest version of Wrestling Studio Pro

To prevent crashes, keep at least 2GB free on your device before recording long matches.

Video won't upload or sync

If uploads are stuck:

  • Check your internet connection (Wi-Fi recommended for large uploads)
  • Make sure you're logged in to your account
  • Try pausing and resuming the upload
  • Check that your storage quota isn't full (visible in Settings)
  • Restart the app and try again

Large match videos can take several minutes to upload on slower connections. The upload continues in the background.

Scoreboard overlay not showing on video

If the overlay is missing:

  • Make sure "Show Scoreboard" is enabled before recording (check Settings)
  • The overlay appears during recording preview - if you saw it there, it's on the video
  • When exporting, choose "With Overlay" option
  • Try playing the video in a different player app

The overlay is embedded during recording and export. If it's not visible during recording, it won't be on the final video.
